Sachin Teng everybody!
I really dig Teng’s use of color, especially that bold pink. Is that not Barbie Pink? It might also be the colour of the photo emulsion I use. It’s such a wonderfully fake colour, so unnaturally vibrant and plastic. Also, I really like the combination of painting/illustration and graphic design. Some of these pieces are a fantastic hybrid of Abstract-Expressionist and graphic design. Really, Teng is getting to the expressive qualities of utilitarian imagery, which could not be more cool.
I just wish there was more!
